Tiba’a Creative Printmaking Conference brings together printmaking, design, research and cultural discourse through exhibitions, talks and workshops. My involvement developed across several editions of the conference, contributing to its visual identity, poster design, academic programming, research presentations and publication design.

My contributions included:

Development of the Tiba’a Printmaking Conference visual identity.
Design of conference posters and reveal campaigns, including OASIS: Beyond the Cloth and CARAVAN: Beyond the Cloth.
Presentation of “Creative Printmaking Conference: Visual Identity Design of CPC 2024.”
Presentation of “Printmaking & The Hidden Kuwaiti Archive” at the American University of Kuwait in 2025.
Moderation and contribution to the conference’s lecture programme at AUK Theatre.
Contribution to the Tiba’a Creative Printmaking Conference catalogues as co-author and design lead.
Collaboration with students on the 2025 conference visual identity.
Contribution to establishing AUK’s participation and platinum sponsorship of the conference.

Visual Identity & Poster Series

The visual language developed for Tiba’a explored printmaking as both a contemporary design practice and a means of engaging with regional visual culture.

Talks & Research

Creative Printmaking Conference: Visual Identity Design of CPC 2024

Presented at ASCC, Kuwait, 2024.

The presentation discussed the design process and development of the conference’s visual identity.

Printmaking & The Hidden Kuwaiti Archive

American University of Kuwait, 2025.

The presentation explored printmaking in relation to overlooked and less-visible aspects of Kuwait’s visual archive and cultural history.

Conference Publication

I contributed to the Tiba’a Creative Printmaking Conference Catalogue 2024 as co-author and designer, published in association with NCCAL, Kuwait.

I continued this editorial and design contribution for the 2025 conference catalogue, working alongside the wider Tiba’a team.

Tiba’a 2025

The 2025 Creative Printmaking Conference took place from 5–19 January 2025 across the American University of Kuwait and MOMA Kuwait.

For this edition, I contributed to the development of the full conference visual identity with two AUK students, delivered Printmaking & The Hidden Kuwaiti Archive, and participated in the academic programme and moderation of the conference lecture rounds.
